The Kalavant Center for Music and Dance is a 501(c)(3) non-profit cultural institution devoted to promoting and preserving traditional music and dance of South Asia, with a special emphasis on the classical traditions of India.

The Kalavant Center works within the following capacities:

Presenting Organization - organizing and publicizing professional performances, primarily in the New York City Metropolitan area

Educational Institution - highly accomplished teachers train students in South Asian music and dance through regular classes and workshops, serving primarily New York City residents, and residents of surrounding areas

Artist Management Institution - management of professional performers of South Asian classical music and dance arts, bringing these artists to American audiences on a national level

Recording Company - recording and disseminating South Asian music and dance performances
